Thanksgiving Day Parade
Merry just brought home a book from the school library. It is called Balloons over Broadway. She didn’t know it, but it is about the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, one of my all time favorite things. I grew up in NY, about 1 hour from NYC and we would go into the city on the night before Thanksgiving to watch them blow up the balloons. It was such a fun thing to do. It was usually freezing cold, but we didn’t notice because there was so much to see.
Now that we live in Colorado, we can’t get to the Macy’s parade, but we do still watch it on TV. It is so much fun to see and I like that I can stay warm!
What are some Thanksgiving traditions that you carry over from when you were a kid?
